Web 1.0 was designed to help people better find information. Web 2.0 - 2005 to 2020

Web 2.0 emphasizes user-generated content, ease of use, and interactivity. Web 2.0 is all about end user's experience. Consequently, this web form was responsible for creating communities, collaborations, dialogue, and social media.

Web 3.0 - present

Web 3.0 moves users away from centralized platforms, and towards decentralized, nearly anonymous platforms. It is built on top of
blockchain to enable individual user transparency, control & power.
